Guided walkthroughs
My Team has narrated tours built into the product — they walk you through a page, pointing at things as they explain them.
Where: the Tour this page button on a page, or My Team › Settings › Help & guidance
What is covered
There is a walkthrough for each main page:
- Dashboard — what needs your attention and where it comes from
- Team page — the employee list
- Reports — the reports hub and what each report is for
- Mel (AI) — Mel's tasks, memory and queue
- Settings — how the settings are organised
When they are the better option
A tour beats an article when the question is "where is that?" rather than "how does this work?". It points at the actual screen, which is faster than any description.
Worth using:
- In your first week — run all five in order, before you need any of them
- When onboarding a new admin or manager — more reliable than showing them yourself, and
they can repeat it
- After a redesign — the tour reflects the current screen
When an article is better
Tours cover what is on screen. They do not cover the rules underneath — why a rate is calculated the way it is, what a setting affects elsewhere, or what to do when something is stuck. That is what these articles are for.
Use both: the tour to find things, the article to understand them.
