Bulk Assignments
Bulk Assignments assigns approvers and managers to many employees at once.

When you need it
The reporting line is the thing that changes most often and is most tedious to change:
- A manager leaves or moves, and their whole team needs reassigning
- A reorganisation moves a group under someone new
- A new team is formed from people across departments
- Initial setup, where nobody has a manager yet
Doing this profile by profile is slow and easy to get half-done — which is worse than not starting, because some requests route correctly and some do not.
Why leaving it half-done hurts
Manager and approver assignments drive approval routing. An employee pointing at someone who has left has requests going nowhere, and the symptom appears later as "my leave was never approved".
When someone leaves, reassign their reports before deactivating them.
Bulk Assignments or Profile Manager?
Both change many people at once:

Use this one for reporting lines; it is designed for exactly that shape of change.
After a reorganisation
Reassigning managers is one of three things, and only one of them is this page:
- Managers and approvers — here
- Placement — if people moved department or branch, that is
organisation structure and their profiles
- The approval matrix itself — if routes are defined by department, moving people may
mean routes need revisiting too
Doing only the first is the usual mistake.
