Generating a learning path with AI

Generating a learning path with AI

KAMI can generate a whole learning path for you — structure and written content — from your industry. It is a way to get a credible first draft in minutes instead of a blank page, and it is a draft rather than a finished programme.

Where: LMS › Team learning › Learning paths You need: the rights to build LMS content

What it produces, in two phases

ContentWritten paragraph content for each module, one at a time30 → 100%

Generation runs in the background against your industry or company type, and reports progress as it goes:

What it does not produce

⚠️ Generation creates written content only. It does not create assessments, questions, documents or videos. A generated path has no way to test whether anybody learned anything until you add assessments yourself — and if you enrol people without doing that, "completed" means only that they clicked through.

It also cannot know your company: your policies, your systems, your terminology, your legal obligations. What it produces is a well-shaped generic programme for your industry. That is genuinely useful as a skeleton and genuinely wrong as compliance training.

How to use it well

  1. Generate the path for your industry.
  2. Read every module. Correct anything that is generically true but wrong for you.
  3. Replace the placeholder specifics — systems, policies, job titles — with yours.
  4. Add assessments to the modules that need to verify understanding, with a passing score — see Module content and assessments.
  5. Add your own documents and videos where written content is not enough.
  6. Take the whole path yourself.
  7. Only then open it for enrolment.

What Happens Next

  • The job creates a learning path once Phase 1 completes; content fills in during Phase 2.
  • The result is an ordinary learning path — editable, reorderable, and yours.
  • A failed job records its error; the path may be partially built.

Tips

  • Treat it as a first draft by a capable outsider. It knows the subject and not your company. Edit accordingly.
  • Budget time to review. Generating takes minutes; making it genuinely yours takes hours, and skipping that is how you end up with training nobody respects.
  • Never use a generated path for compliance training unmodified. If you have to evidence that staff were trained on your obligations, generic content will not do it.
  • Add assessments before enrolling anyone, or completion means nothing.
  • Generate one path first and see whether the output suits you before generating several.

Troubleshooting / FAQ

Q: Generation failed. The job records an error. The path may be partially built — review it before retrying, so you do not end up with two.

Q: It stopped at 30%. Phase 1 finished and Phase 2 did not complete. The structure exists; module content is missing.

Q: The content is generic. That is what it can produce — it works from your industry, not your company. Editing is the expected next step.

Q: Where are the assessments? Generation does not create them. Add them yourself.

Q: Can I generate content for one module only? Generation produces a whole path. For a single module, write or upload the content directly.
